Lifeguards Meet with Council Member Paige Ellis

Today Council Member Paige Ellis met with Barton Springs Open Water Head Lifeguard Sofia Pena and Barton Springs Lifeguard Scott Cobb to discuss strategies to end the lifeguard shortage. Cobb and Pena proposed raising the living wage to $22 and making some year-round lifeguards “regular” employees.
