Council Member Vanessa Fuentes Meets with Lifeguards
Today Council Member Vanessa Fuentes met with Barton Springs Open Water Head Lifeguard Sofia Pena and Barton Springs Lifeguard Scott Cobb. CM Fuentes told them that she supported a $22 living wage. Later, she wrote on Twitter, “I met with lifeguards to discuss the need for the City to raise the wage so that we are able to FULLY open our public pools this summer. We have a lifeguard shortage. Let’s raise wages! Our communities are ready to enjoy summer again!”
