Lifeguards Worked Shifts at Cold Weather Shelters

Lifeguards had their shifts at pools cancelled on December 21, 22, 23, and 24 because the City of Austin closed the pools. Some lifeguards stepped up and took shifts at cold weather shelters to help the community stay warm. Below is one of the lifeguards working a cold weather shelter shift to do our part to help the community stay warm. It was a very nice shift. Everyone seemed grateful and happy that they had a warm place to spend the night. Handed out food, kept the restrooms clean, chatted with guests.
